ABOUT ME

I am a very nice, sometimes shy at first, funny American who wants to travel more and meet nice people from all over. I joined this website several years ago but forgot about it and never used it. I travelled a bit the usual way in hostels in 2006 but am now interested in meeting interesting, local people when I travel this year. Feel free to message me and say hi. Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have absolutely no experience because when I travelled in 2006 I was too nervous to try it :-/ and ended up just doing hostels. I regret not taking that opportunity to meet local people when I was in several European countries.

Interests

Music, Art, Reading, Playing piano, Languages, Jogging, Museums, Juicing, Health/nutrition, Broadway Shows, Drinking wine (I don't know much about it, but I like drinking it) and having nice long talks...and of course hanging out with my dog and best friend Benji!

I don't speak a second language fluently but I speak conversational Spanish, some French, some Hebrew, and some German. I am still trying to improve my level in all 4, and I am always looking for an opportunity to practice with anyone who speaks these.

I love The Cranberries, The Beatles, Elton John, Amy Winehouse, One Republic, Ben Taylor Band, Juanes, La Oreja de Van Gogh, Mika, Collective Soul, Jump Little Children, Rufus Wainright, Oldies, 80's, and classical music.
My favorite books are The Alchemist, Bee Season, A Separate Peace, Catcher in the Rye, A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, The Chosen, The Picture of Dorian Gray, and The Kite Runner.
My favorite movies are The Wizard of Oz, AI, Brokeback Mountain, The Truman Show, Finding Neverland.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Travelled to Europe and ended up staying and living in Spain for more than a year.
