ABOUT ME

Hey everyone! I'm a 20-something writer living in Berlin, Germany. I'm originally from Canada, but moved here 6 years ago. I love to travel (obviously) but being a starving artist, I need to budget. I also love to visit a place and see it from more of a local perspective. And I love helping people do the same thing in Berlin!

On my spare time, I like to cook, cycle, sing, sew, garden, write and I dabble in guitar and piano.

Music, Movies, and Books

I read a lot of classic books, but I'm also really into fantasy and supernatural books...I read George RR Martin's 'A Song of Ice and Fire' (the books Game of Thrones is based on) and got totally hooked. I also have a love of mythology and folklore and I read a lot of myths and fairy tales from different cultures.

I'm a huge music addict as well. I've played piano since I was 6 years old and have been singing my whole life. I listen to all genres, but I'm especially into country, folk, rock and jazz. I love the Beatles, Dolly Parton, Emmylou Harris, Nick Drake, Ella Fitzgerald....too many to name! I play and sing country and American folk music for the most part, but I like to try other kinds of music as well!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I WALKED up the Eiffel Tower during my first visit to Paris. No elevator...I took the stairs the whole way. Justified all the crepes and croissants I ate that week!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you about Berlin and Western Canada (where to go if you visit, what to see, what to eat, etc). I love to cook and can share some of my recipes (I like to try to make all kinds of different foods!)
