My name is Daniil and I currently live in Berlin, studying at the Technical University Berlin.
My fields of interest and study are Software Engineering and Materials Engineering - some nice nerdy stuff.
I am currently working as a freelance web developer, but also I have some side projects that are really cool.
One of them is a professional social network for educators in early childcare in Germany that I am developing together with two professionals in the field.
The other one is the website for a hedonistic community / collective that is founded by friends of mine and practices holistic and healthy hedonism in form of educational content and events.

As you might started guessing after the end of the chapter above, I am someone who loves to enjoy life. I love partying and meeting my friends, going to concerts or just sitting somewhere in a park. It gives me a lot of joy and energy to share my time and activities with other people. In all of that, it's important to me to have sincere and deep connections. I like to think and to talk about the world and everything that's happening in it, be it from a political or a spiritual perspective.

Generally, I have many interest and enjoy doing lots of things such as cooking, making music, reading, doing sports and so on and so forth. I am always open to try out new things (sometimes even risky ones, hehe) and I love learning about the passions of other people and exploring their way of life.
The same goes for places around the world! I started traveling more regularly about a year ago and I am looking forward to many more travel adventures.

My curiosity is unlimited. As stated above, I love to experience new places, new ideas and new people. I am a people's person and if I am not on Couchsurfing I am staying at hostels to connect with other travelers and like-minded people.
It's great to have local people that I know all around the world, and I am also happy to be the person that they know from the place that I live in. I love welcoming guests and showing them around. It's a great exchange and a way to build a community.

音乐、电影和书籍

When it comes to music I am very versatile. My core genre and all-time favorite is classic rock, aka any kind of rock-related music from the 60s-90s.
In my teenage years I was a lot into stuff like Metal, Posthardcore, Emo and Punk. Names like A Day to Remember, Silverstein, Asking Alexandria, etc.
Later on, I started exploring genres like Jazz and Soul. These I do enjoy both in their classic versions as well as embedded in more modern genres like Lo-Fi Hip Hop or mixed with Deep House.
Nowadays I really enjoy electronical music, mostly when it's hard and fast. Examples are techno, gabber, hardstyle and psytrance.

I like to read a good mix of fiction and non-fiction books for educative purposes. When it comes to fiction, I am really open to different genres. A couple years ago I read many books by Simon Beckett which was mostly thriller-themed, and now I enjoy the book series that inspired the amazing Sci-Fi show "The Expanse" by Daniel James Abraham und Ty Franck. Recently, I have also started to get into some more classical literature like Narcissus and Goldmund by Hermann Hesse.

You might have guessed it by now, there isn't the one type of movies I like. To sum it up, I love movies that either make me laugh or blow my mind - or both.
My most recent favorite movie is "Everything Everywhere all at Once". It does both of the things I mentioned before. I feel like nowadays there are a lot of really good niche movies produced by Netflix or the like.
Also, I watch quite a lot of series. Some of my all time favorites include "The Expanse", "Bojack Horseman" and "Peaky Blinders". Of course besides my childhood favorite that is forever in my heart, "Avatar The Last Airbender".

Currently I am coming back from my semester abroad in Tel Aviv, Israel. This has been a crazy six months. I'll be happy to share all of my great stories.
Also, I am happy to tell you everything about my life in Berlin and the many experiences I have been able to make in the last years.
