Overview
About Me
I'm completely fascinated by how people live in different ways around the world, which is why I joined Couchsurfing back in the days! I had amazing experiences before the pandemic, and now I'm back, excited to connect with people again.
I’d describe myself as open-minded and always curious about new cultures. That’s why I recently moved to Spain, where I’m studying for a master’s degree in Design for Interaction. Right now, I’m navigating the ambivalence of fulfilling my dream of living abroad while dealing with the struggles of being a migrant (I've been here since January and I'm still adapting)!
I love exploring historical places and learning about people and their cultures. When I'm travelling, I'm usually walking a lot, waking up early to enjoy the day. I’m very active, I enjoy cycling, I’m crazy about crossfit, and I’m a runner too.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To discover other people's cultures and make friends who share the same passions. I also enjoy getting out of my comfort zone, and I believe that meeting people from different backgrounds is a powerful way to embrace differences and practice empathy.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I had a lot of experience with Couchsurfing during my exchange in the UK, in 2019. Unfortunately, I stopped using it during the pandemic (for obvious reasons), and it took me a while to come back, especially after it became a paid service. Living in Brazil, the cost was a bit high for me at the time. Still, I'm a big voucher for this community, it's always my top one recommendation when someone asks for traveling tips!
Now that I’ve recently moved to Spain, I feel like I have more opportunities to be active in the community here, especially since Couchsurfing can be a bit risky in Brazil. As a recent migrant, I’m currently living in a shared apartment with a small room, so I don’t have the space to host travelers right now. But I’m looking forward to changing that as soon as I move into a bigger place.
I love the concept of Couchsurfing and the wonderful people I've met through the community, and I’m excited to contribute more to this environment in the near future!

Music, Movies, and Books
My favorite music genre is rock, especially Linkin Park, Muse, Bon Jovi, etc. I've had the opportunity to watch several music concerts, so I have some good stories to share about them. Besides rock, pretty much Brazilian music and pop (which I prefer to dance to). Unfortunately I don't play any music instruments. I've played the piano for some years, but I've sadly stopped when I started the university.
Regarding movies, Amélie Poulain is my favourite, I even have a tattoo of it! I also love Her, Medianeras, 500 days of Summer, 13 going on 30 and Harry Potter. Basically any colorful ones with a great soundtrack! Other titles are Inception, The Imitation Game, Life's Beautiful, etc.
Books: I haven't been reading as much as I wanted to (has anyone?), but some of my favorites are: Harry Potter and the Phoenix Order, Milk and Honey, Fight Club, Fahrenheit 451.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Wow, I feel like my craziest stories happen while travelling, and most of them through Couchsurfing (from going to unexpected vodka tastings to climbing a roof to drink beers under the moonlight).
I'm very independent and enjoy going to music concerts and festivals by myself. I've been to over 40 concerts in the last 10 years, I never miss an opportunity to see my favourite bands live (some more than once). In the Aerosmith concert I've even made some friends and one of them carried me in his shoulders during "Cryin'", which made me appear on TV hahaha
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm always interested in learning different languages, and I could help you with Portuguese as well! Since I moved to Spain, I'm trying to improve my Spanish (right now it's more Portuñol), so I'm taking every chance I have to practice it. I can also share some traditions from southern Brazil, like preparing a great chimarrão!
Also, I work with UX Research and have recently been diving into the world of design, so if you're into that too, I’d love to exchange ideas and experiences!
Apart from abilities like that, I think the best part about Couchsurfing is the possibility to share stories and life experiences. That by itself teaches a lot!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Usually people mention cooking, but unfortunately I wasn't gifted with this ability hahahah I can help though (slicing ingredients, washing dishes, etc.)! Also my language, culture and stories!
