I'm a curious soul who loves learning new languages and exploring different cultures. I have a background in electrical engineering, but my heart also beats for music and dancing. I play a few instruments, enjoy jamming whenever I get the chance and learn national dances.

I’m always up for a good conversation or just listening to stories about history, culture, music, or food from around the world. Before I travel somewhere, I do my best to learn the local language, not just to get by, but to connect with people on a deeper level and see the world through their eyes. I speak Kazakh, Russian, English fluently and have intermediate level in German, Spanish and Turkish. Knowledge of various family languages helps me to adapt to any environment.

I found out about Couchsurfing through my wife — she had been using it before me, and we’ve already hosted several travelers together. Interests

Learning new languages is one of my biggest passions. It’s like unlocking a new way of seeing the world. I enjoy practicing with native speakers and picking up phrases while traveling. My favourite quote from a student of my uni "When you speak with the person a language he understands, the words go to his head. When you speak his mother language, the words enter his heart".
