Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I enjoy meeting a plethora of interesting people and learning about their countries and lives. It is fun to experience foreign countries through the eyes of people who live there. During my journeys I met many kind people who offered to share their homes and I'd like to give back this welcome to the traveling community. I enjoy learning, trying new things , sharing stories, discovering new places and also sharing the knowledge of my corner of world with interested travelers.

Interests

I enjoy simple life pleasures, such as hugs, chocolate, flowers, dogs, warm cup of tea, smiles, ....... I love outdoor sports, especially mountain biking, paddling on rivers or sea, rock climbing, sailing, snowboarding... I like to seek new adventures, a couple years ago I learned how to surf ( on waves :) ) and I think I'm addicted. And of course, I am passionate about traveling.
I take pleasure in exploring nature and cultures and like to make photos of both.

Movies: Once, Off course, The Green Mile, The Intouchables, Notebook, Amadeus, Forest Gump, Girl Interrupted, Avatar, Palms in the snow....

Lots of books! The Little Prince, The Lord of the Ring, The Alchemist, Eleven Minutes, Harry Potter, Peace is every breath, .................biographies and travelers' tales.

All kind of music: reggae, Latin or anything that makes me want to dance. I like many music genres : classical music (Vivaldi being my favorite) , ambient music, easy listening, and rock.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The first ones that come to my mind are:
1. Sea kayaking alongside of pod of killer whales by the coast of Vancouver island.
2. Climbing via Ferrata Delle Bochette del Brenta in Italy and sea stack "Moai" in Tasmania.
3. Guiding a young girl who suffered a visual impairment on her skiing adventure and being able to share the beauty of the sport with her.
