About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Finding a way back to Australia.
ABOUT ME
I'm really smart or borderline retarded. Either way I'm not boring, so stick around. Also, french is my mother tongue, so I'm more introverted when speaking english.
I can't stand conversations about shoes or hair.
PHILOSOPHY
Don't talk; DO (I do own a couch, but I sit in it about 3 times per year).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I will contribute what I can, from making a good meal to helping someone out. I love learning new skills, even useless ones. Good karma I guess. I've travelled a bit and experienced some fantastic CS hospitality. Hopefully I can apply what I've learned as a host when I stop a'ramblin'.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
many... To be honest, at worst it was like staying with a relative with whom you share no common ground (but who'll be courteous and helping); at best, well just amazing people with whom you really connect. That's about as good as you can expect from meeting strangers.
Interests
Anything outside. cycling to somewhere, climbing rocks and crags, discovering great people around a good meal, wines (seriously, I'll talk your ear off about food, wine and tea, so watch out), weird music, maybe learning how to build my own sustainable and self-powered house within a few years' time. I'd like to learn how to surf better and do random acts of kindness everyday.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Indie rock of the scruffy sort, hard-bop to free jazz, some old dub. The velvet underground and the fall are among my faves.
Books: Requisite bohemian references, both french and english (Joyce, Miller, Rand, Nin, et al.)
Movies: I like that foreign crap.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Riding to downtown Lhasa hidden under blankets in the back trailer of a farmer's tractor, swerving through traffic incognito. Not amazing, but fun nonetheless.
I blew the rear tyre on my motorcycle riding 120 on the highway and managed to stop without falling...scary.
Teach, Learn, Share
I know how to fix old motorcycles. Sometimes I get stranded though. I'm also an obscure rock and wine nerd. I can show you how to buy a bike?!
I can make an enviable choc mousse in about 30 mins.
I can show you some nice mountain bike rides around Brissie.
That's it, I'm out of tricks unless you want to hear about metallurgy. Nobody has taken me up on that as of yet.
