About Me

HELLO AND HI FELLAS my name is Danny. Iam from United Kingdom but living in india for the last 4 years working on a project. Iam a software developer by profession and a part time English teacher also. Iam teaching English to many people from different countries like Russia, Brazil, Ukraine, Armenia, china, Portugal, Spain. Iam very easy going and down to earth guy let...s say I...m a very likable person, I truly admire people who are KIND and HUMBLE. “you can't judge a book by its cover." ...how someone can judge another person without even talking to them or knowing them is beyond me!!! So if you want to know about me just message me or do live chat with me. Because if you feel shy to have direct conversation with anyone here on shared talk then i think you can’t learn any language because pronunciation is also very important apart from learning. Iam a people person. I love people! And Iam here to help people in English language and to make lot of friends. Good friends are very hard to come by. So I don't like to treat people poorly and I don't like when people treat me poorly. I can write lots of nice things about myself, but there is no need for that, I think! Seeing is believing. Remember Success usually comes to those who are too busy to be looking for it. Thank U for stopping by.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

First, I am super social when I travel. I talk with whomever I'm sitting next to on the bus. I chat with vendors. I banter with people while waiting for a train. I ask for directions even when I'm pretty sure I know where I'm going. The more people you talk to, the more people learn about your journey, the more likely that someone will say, "Hey, if you don't have a place to stay, why don't you stay at my home?"

Second, I meet potential hosts on Couchsurfing.org (see my couchsurfing profile). I adore couchsurfing because it gives me insight into a culture that would be hard to get when you're staying at a hotel or hostel. Such insight was essential for writing my latest book, The Hidden Europe: What Eastern Europeans Can Teach Us.

Interests

I like arts and crafts. I'm a creative / practical person, and like doing things with my hands.

I'm an outgoing person, and like socialising / hanging out with friends.

I enjoy being physically active, and spend a lot of time playing sports and team games.

Music, Movies, and Books

A Confederacy of Dunces - The only book that's given me laughing fits in public. Ignatius is easily one of my favorite literary characters.
Blood Meridian - This was my introduction to McCarthy and I'd never read anything like it. It was a difficult read for me but there are passages I'll never forget.
Wind-Up Bird Chronicle - Always loved Murakami's style. Lieutenant Mamiya's section is unforgettable.
Harry Potter series - I'll always have a soft spot for these. Wonderful characters, incredibly fun, and consistently great.
Out - Natsuo Korino - Wanted to put a lesser known one on here. I loved how the author handled the ensemble, and the tension and pacing were wonderful all the way through. If you're a fan of Japanese thrillers I highly recommend it.
