About Me

I just turned 30 while leaving the country for the first time in my life. I was in Buenos Aires, Argentina for my birthday and the whole experience has really inspired me to embrace the traveling, exploring, adventuring, backpacking culture with open arms.

I am a native to Portland, Oregon and I really love it here. While I can see myself visiting a lot more of our world that we share, I feel like this will always be were I will return in the end. It's a wonderful place and am very proud to say I was born here.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I would love to give back to the traveling community because I feel that adventurous people who invest the time to focus on experiences and not on material things tend to think in a similar way and are overall very positive. Just being in the same room with someone who has experienced something different would be more than worth sharing my space for. So, I'm very happy to offer it if it helps someone in their travels.

Interests

Other than my affinity for the outdoors and adventure, I am a musician and writer of music, I am very focused on health and fitness as well as nutrition, I'm a craft beer enthusiast as most people are in Portland, a rock climber in the Summer and a snowboarder in the Winter. Along with all of that, I also consider myself a lifelong student, especially with languages. I have been learning German for a while now and just recently decided to pick up Spanish after my trip to Argentina. We'll see how many I get under my belt before I die. =)

Music, Movies, and Books

I don't really believe in "favorites" or labels when it comes to genres and that sort of thing. But I will say in regards to music that I love most everything except country and jazz. Music kind of rules my life so there is a much more elaborate explanation than that, but I'd rather not bore you with the details, haha.

In terms of movies, I love most everything except very dry political or law enforcement dramas. And as for books, I read a lot of non-fiction with instructional guides and how-tos, but when I read fiction, it usually has to do with some kind of ancient fantasy or mythological theme.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I just traveled to Argentina for 16 days and survived without knowing hardly any Spanish, haha!

Teach, Learn, Share

Find out if there is a better or more efficient way to exchange your money locally first in the target area you're thinking about visiting. If you exchange your money at a bank or in the airport before you arrive, you might be getting a much lower exchange rate.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Knowledge, maybe some language exchange, kindness and some great conversation! =)
