About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Trying to keep life fresh.

ABOUT ME

I've been a nature lover since I can remember. Music is my other passion - playing it, writing it, recording it. I love to travel, wish I could do it more often, and I love hearing travel stories. I'd like to meet some new people here on CS, make a new friend or two.

PHILOSOPHY

I live to learn mostly, and I'm trying to practice "hakuna matata" as best I can.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Currently I'm unable to offer anyone a place to stay, but in the future when my situation allows it, I hope to aid others in their travels and make some new friends.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

In the summer of 2011 I walked from Rockford, Illinois to the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota, about 800 miles. I was hosted by many wonderful people along the way, including some couch surfers. It's been very rewarding, and I look forward to meeting some couch surfers when I go to Europe.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Lord of the Rings, The Shawshank Redemption,
Music: I was metal-head as a teen, and have since broadened my horizons. I can really appreciate any music people put their hearts into.
Books/reading: I'm a geek for the natural sciences, and usually read non-fiction, with the exception of Tolkien.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I witnessed a beautiful, sunset-lit tornado in 2014 in Iowa. You can see it in my photos. It was surreal, and might be the most amazing thing I've ever witnessed.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can talk all day about thunderstorms and tornadoes. Also I can teach you guitar and solar pyrography.....if the weather cooperates

I love learning just about anything really, especially science/nature related

What I Can Share with Hosts

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Costa Rica, French Polynesia, Puerto Rico, United States
