Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
On the road since August 27, 2008: Show us something surprising!
ABOUT ME
We met in Seoul in 2005 and have been happily married since 2006. We are headed back to Seoul in early 2009, but on our way are enjoying a 4 month trip through South America, Eastern Europe, and the Indian subcontinent.
PHILOSOPHY
We want to see as much of the world as we can in our lifetimes. Both of us have gained so much (including our marriage together) from our travel experiences and willingness to try new things and meet new people.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
We are looking to meet as many people as possible who are willing to share their love of their countries and the world. When we get back to Seoul, we'd love to host travelers in our extra bedroom.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
We recently had two amazing experiences couchsurfing in Brussels and Istanbul, our first two. We have resolved to couchsurf as much as possible during the rest of our trip in India, as we think it allows for a more genuine travel experience than the ones we experienced staying at hostels in South America and Europe. We wish we could go back and couchsurf in there, but I guess we'll have to make a return trip for that.
Interests
Meeting new people and Eating/drinking new and interesting foods and drinks-We think these are the best ways to learn about a country's culture
Dan-I am a gigantic Cleveland sports fan, much to the chagrin of my wife

Music, Movies, and Books
Korean films
We generally don't like TV, but "Curb Your Enthusiasm" is an artform unto itself
Been reading whatever's handy lately-Chuck Klosterman, biographies, travel books, "Eat, Pray, Love," etc.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Dan-3 for me:
A bit cliche, but still undeniably life changing. . On my 1st big road trip 5 years ago, I felt comforted by my insignificance sitting on the rim of the Grand Canyon alone, save for a walkman with a bad dub of Modest Mouse's "Lonesome Crowded West" in my ears.
A little less cliche . . . Hangzhou's West Lake on my first trip with my wife.
Not cliche at all . . . Getting 2nd degree burns on the summit of Mt. Fuji and having to abandon Japan a week early to get medical treatment.
Suehyun-Northern Ireland's Giant Causeway. Walking the bridge . . .Wow!
