I have been a Spanish teacher in NYC for 9 years, but left my position to travel and explore other opportunities at the end of the last school year. Some of my passions include travel, yoga, music, and art, all of which I love to teach, as well. I've been a yogi since moving to NYC in 2007 and became a certified yoga instructor in 2010. I've played violin and viola since the age of 3, and music has always been a big part of my life. Most recently, I taught high school Spanish for 6 years at an all girls school in Queens, NY. In addition to teaching Spanish, I also started a Yoga Club and a Violin Choir to share my love for the two with my students. I'm a creative and communicative person, and love to make art and share stories and experiences with others.

He sido maestra de español en NYC por 9 años, pero dejé mi posición para viajar y explorar otras oportunidades a finales del último año escolar (junio, 2016). Algunas de mis pasiones son viajar, hacer yoga, tocar música (violín), y crear arte, y me gusta enseñar todas estas cosas, también. He practicado yoga desde que llegué a NYC en 2007, y realicé una formación de instructores de yoga en 2010 para convertirme en una instructora de yoga titulada. He tocado el violín desde la edad de 3 años y la música siempre ha sido una gran parte de mi vida. Enseñé español en una escuela secundaria de niñas durante los últimos 6 años en Queens, NY, donde también di clases de yoga y violín después de la escuela. Soy una persona súper creativa y comunicativa y me encanta hacer arte y compartir historias y experiencias con otras personas.

I love to learn from others - cultural exchange is one of the biggest ways that I have grown as a person. As a teacher in Astoria, Queens, I had students from 200 countries and connecting with them through listening to stories about their lives enabled me to teach them better.
