My name is Daphne. I am a 22 year old from the Netherlands, I am a student at the Wageningen University - specialising in International Development. Love being a student! I took a 3 year break between high school and university to explore the world. In this time I discovered my love for adventure and beautiful sights!

My favourite place is anywhere outside, be that a quiet place or a busy one. You will find me to be a person who likes and cares a lot, there's little place inside me for hate or negativity. I like just going with the flow. I find that that's the best way to go.

I grew up in a place where everything was close to me, I live 20 minutes away from Amsterdam by train, but I never used to go because it was 'too far away'. My world was small. Not anymore, since I went to Australia where my perception of distance changed infinitely.

I want to travel and experience the rest of the world the best way possible. The motto of my next trip is always: defamiliarization, which means to search the unfamiliar. I've found during travel that the locals know their place best and have send me to secret little spots plenty of times. I want to experience all the different cultures that Europe is so rich of on a personal level! I hope to meet amazing people who are hopefully willing to tell me about, or even show me all the little treasures of their hometown.

My passions are traveling, reading and acquiring skills. I love learning, it's something I never want to stop doing. I also like working because it enables me to do what I want to do. My motto is work hard, play harder. Aside from that I like the outdoors, that's where adventures are.
