Our household is me, my husband Mike and our adult son, Simon plus Mischief the cat. I retired as a city councillor in 2013 and Mike's career was in IT.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We have previously belonged to another home hosting group and thoroughly enjoyed the people that we met as a result. We have hosted AFS and Rotary exchange students. We welcome the opportunity to continue to meet people from around the world and share something of our lives. We also enjoy travelling.

Interests

Changing the world! environment and social justice issues and building stronger communities.
Also Spanish language and culture, biking, kayaking, exploring. Mike and Simon are knowledgeable about sport. Mike is a Rotarian.

Music, Movies, and Books

Classical music - besotted by Beethoven and NZ group, Sol3Mio. I belong to two book groups and we aim to keep up with what's on offer at the movies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Going as a 17 year old to spend a year in Minnesota and, more recently, five editions of a book on ethnic groups in New Zealand.
