I am an environmental educator. Currently, I'm working with a group of crazy magical people to run a tiny, nature-centered "unschool" out of a friend's house; our students are homeschoolers, and the norm is to spend each day outside.

Before I got into education, I travelled a lot, studied languages, wrote and edited copy and poetry. I taught English in Russia for a year. This summer, I've been revving my travel bug back up. I just spend a month in Thailand, mostly studying meditation and forest conservation projects (thank you, Thailand!).
