About Me

My name is Darya (Dasha for short). I was born and raised in Russia and graduated from the Tula State Pedagogical University named after Lev Tolstoy (by the way, this city is Tolstoy's hometown). I am an English teacher. Right now, I live and continue my studies in the Master's program at the University of Bergamo (Italy). I love cinema, literature, music, and art in general in many of their forms. I enjoy sports: as a child, I did cross-country skiing, dancing, and chess, and I also played football. Now, I like to go hiking outside the city and I snowboard. I enjoy watching Formula 1 and stand-up comedy. My favourite team - guess for yourself (Forza Ferrari !! hahaha) and my favourite stand-up comedian is Ricky Gervais.

I have the best dog in the world, named Kimi (after Kimi Räikkönen), and I dream of one day getting a second corgi and naming it Mikki (after Michael Schumacher).

I used to have another account, but unfortunately I lost it, so I've attached the link below

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I really love people and I'm open to making new friends. I like to remember little things about people because, in the end, we are all similar, and that makes us unique. I have friends in Russia, Ukraine, Germany, France, the USA, and Sri Lanka. I hope that in my old age, my memory will be filled with hundreds of people from every corner of the world, and I'll remember them with warmth.
Ofc, I do love travelling and that's why I do believe this community is the most inspiring and meaningful, because it's all about sharing this life as neighbours from all around the world.
