About Me

Obviously to conquer the world. In the meantime I'll settle for traveling :)

1 portion nerd
1 portion geek
3 portions humanist
2 portions sailor
1 portion scientist
2 1/2 portions loving creature

Add a pinch of climbing, a part of dancing, a tablespoon of pure craziness. Stir, don't shake. Serve with some distance.

This potion is known for it's characteristic, slightly bitter note that is washed away by fruity sweetness.

I graduated from masters program in cognitive science and am currently trying to figure out my next move. Update: I've actually realized I've got no idea what that should be. So I'll focus on finding out what I'd want it to be.

I sail. And I do all those little things like ice skating, juggling, swimming, dancing, traveling and figuring out how to learn all those things I'd like to do. Also: very recently I fell completely in love with climbing. Update: I've refreshed my feelings for bikes.

When I grow old, I'll buy a piece of land - something beautiful over the lake, in the middle of a forest, a motorcycle and a boat, I'll smoke a lot of weed and teach my friends' children lots of nasty things. Maybe I'll have a family of my own, but that's yet to be decided.

The six things I could never do without:
Jeans. Water. Wind. Hand lotions. Tooth brush. Books.

I've got no bloody idea why we're here on the planet called Earth, or why are we conscious. But since I can't find any reasonable explanation, I'm trying to enjoy simple pleasures like spending time with friends, appreciating a sunny day or a funny picture.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm a CS virgin! I'm going to Italy with my friend and we're trying to be both cost effective and adventurous :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Lots of fantasy books. Sci-fi. All those Asimovs and Herberts, naturally. Once in a while some juicy, dark scandinavian crime novel. Science. My guilty pleasure? Chick novels: Bridget Jones and the rest of them. I know. I'm not perfect.

Californication - on so many levels that my math fails. which on the other hand does happen frequently *sighs*. Firefly Grey's Anatomy Lie to me Dollhouse Fringe Band of Brothers Gilmore Girls That 70's show The Good Wife Suits The Mentalist Homeland How I Met Your Mother [how can you not LOVE Neil Patrick Harris?! And this episode when he comes dressed as Tom Cruise in Top Gun!? That was something!]

My Blueberry Nights High Fidelity Leon Chocolate Amelie 'Psy' [or maybe 'Sara'? Or 'Seksmisja'? I told you it's hard!] Dr Horrible's Sing-Along-Blog Bond movies The Matrix [it's just a shame they didn't do the sequel...], Bruce Willis movies, Heat Taking Lives Tomb Raider Mr Nobody, movies with a boom, Lock, Stock and Two Smocking Barrels Moulin Rouge 500 Days of Summer Arizona Dream Seven Amadeus The Notebook Mr Brooks Snatch Monty Python and the Holy Grail Star Wars [the old ones! only!] Good Will Hunting Life of Brian Reservoir Dogs From Dusk Till Dawn The Devil's Advocate Pirates of the Carribean Alien, the Bourne Trilogy.

At that very moment I'm pondering going gay for Cat Power.

Also: Metallica, Tori Amos, Anouk, The White Stripes, Diana Krall, shanties, Waglewski Fisz Emade, Indios Bravos, [thank you, last.fm], Chris Botti, Sting, Hey, Electric Six, Santana, The Doors, RATM, The Cure, The Doors, WOTE, Tool, Norah Jones, RHChP, Flogging Molly, Manu Chao, Nirvana, Tenacious D[and so it goes. endlessly.]

As for food: I believe I'll find something I like in any place in the world.
