I have graduated from St.Petersbutg State University as a Journalist 2 years ago, but now mainly working as an active tours guide, organizing incredible trips for my compatriots and foreigners to distant places of Russia, Georgia & USA. Sometimes I still practicing journalism, but not for earning money but when I can't not to write.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I truly believe that the best opportunity to get acquainted with the culture, mentality & traditions of visited place is to meet, stay, interact with locals. Their knowledge and view of the world can give you the real sense of the country/city. This is not comparable with bright/glamorous pictures from travel guides & life in the hotels.

兴趣

I adore active tourism: I'm guiding it by myself and participating in tours and projects organized by my friends and colleagues. When I share the most interesting experiences in the social sites.
Being a student I was actively engaged in rock climbing & alpinism, tried skydiving. Now I practise it much rare but still consider myself a part of extreme-sports world.
I like reading. Recently, I fell in love with the genre of the graphic novel.

I'm a big fan of Hemingway. So, I have a dream to travel through all "Hemingway places". Have already been to Africa & America. Cuba is in the nearest future plans. And Paris, of course!
Moreover I can mention Richard Bach, Erich Remarque & Graham Greene as my favourit writers. Also I will be happy to to acquaint you with Russian literature (some modern & classical examples :)

Graphic novel MAUS of Art Spiegelman is my new love!

My musical tastes include different kinds of rock, new age, alternative. Sometimes I'm also listening to French chanson, blues, jazz... I even have been working as a jazz-journalist for 11 months!

Movies: Into the Wild, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Legends of the Fall... It's not all of my favourit but TOP-3 I can remember.
