Overview
About Me
Apologies in advance if I dont reply or reply late as I do get lots of requests in the summer and Im not always able to accomodate. Thank you for your understanding.
ABOUT ME
My name is Dario, born and raised in Dubrovnik.
I finished elementary, high school and college in Dubrovnik and now work as an engineer on ships, which is the reason I'm not available sometimes.
My real passion is photography, filming and music though.
I work for a modelling agency as a photographer while im at home.
I love meeting new people and travelling.
I like to go out a lot...I'm barely at home, only to sleep :)
I prefer outdoors over a club.
If you are into photography,I know some pretty good locations around town.
I can advise You on where to go out for partying and the prices so you don't get ripped off, locations to go swimming etc.
Leave me a message and I'll see how I can help.
Cheers!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
In short, I am a seafarer/engineer and my job works like this : I spend 3 months at sea/work and 3 months at home on vacation. During vacation I have lots of free time and the majority of my friends have jobs at home so they cant hangout all the time.
So I figured this might be a good idea.

Grew up on Punk,Metal,Classic rock mainly...but now I enjoy all kinds of music.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Cheated death a few times and also had a selfie stick before it was cool. Cant choose between those two.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I have lots of free time when I'm not onboard so I can provide transportation and show You various places, drinks, food etc.
My apartment ain't too big but it can work for one or two persons.
I prefer to spend time with the people I host and not just provide them with a place to sleep.
A word of advice since most people I host are staying for 1-2 nights: if Your budget is not limited I would say 4 days in Dubrovnik are Ideal. The two biggest attractions here are the city walls and Lokrum island. So if You are deciding between the two take my advice, spend a day on the island. Its a bit cheaper and as I said You can spend the whole day there and believe me You will not regret it. The walls are 20 eur per person ,You hike for cca. two hours, take pictures and thats it. You will get more for Your money if You visit Lokrum.
So here is how I would plan the four days for example:
Day 1:
Assuming You arrive in the morning or afternoon.
Just go see the old town, its not big and You can cover most of it in an hour. Relax ,have some coffee or try the food...go to the beach or visit the walls.
Day 2:
If You are staying with me we can visit places outside the old town, there are some worth seeing.
Day 3:
Lokrum island
In my opinion you get the most bang for you buck here. I recommend the ferry over the kayaks because the kayak tours just go around the island and you dont actually go on it. But it can be arranged to get kayaks there
,stay on the island and get back wit the ferry all for free (i know someone who knows someone)
Day 4:
Daytime relaxing and nightlife later on.
