Trying to last a whole summer on a budget, been living in a tent for the last month.

ABOUT ME

I'm26 years old, I am in the middleofmyfirst adventure travelling. I spent lastmonth living in a tent in Spain and now I am in Italy, I hope to last twomoremonths depending how far I can stretch my funds. I am a student in Irelandstudying SocialStudies and I look forward to a career in helping those less fortunate than myself. I hope tostart volunteering again this year as I didnt have much time last year. I am really enjoying my first experience travelling and enjoymeeting people from different cultures and getting to understand different ways of life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I had heard of couch surfing before but was not sure how safe it was until I met somepeopleonmy travels who gave me a better insight into the world of couch surfing. Now I hope to couch surf myself and will make my couch available to others when i finish my travels. I look forward to meeting other people andmaking new friends from all parts of the world.

Books: Conversations with God, The Secret, Biographies of inspirational people, Muhammad Ali etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Although I am only halfway through my journey I can safely say that packing a tent and going travelling around europe has been the greatest thing I have done. Although I must say the same about making the decision to go back to college as it has created so many opportunities for me.

Teach, Learn, Share

Listen to people who have travelled before, they have the knowledge. Travelling on your own is a great experience as you learn a lot more and have the freedom to do as you wish, I highly recommend it. When travelling to a new city, try to getthere as early as possible so you are not looking for your accomodation late at night.

I want to meet new people as the learning is endless when speaking with people from different backgrounds and rediscovering the humanity which exists in our nature.
