About Me
Open minded, free spirited and cerebral…
ENFP-A
I’ve experienced chronic homelessness most of my adult life. As a result I’ve had some interesting and unforgettable experiences. I was literally the guy you saw sleeping on the subway train or in the park on a bench. I probably still have most of the all night cyber cafes in Queens memorized.
Now that I have my own apartment, I’m happy and excited to take occasional opportunities to host chill, open minded, non fussy, non judgmental types like myself.
I’m okay with doing activities. I’m also okay with comfortable silences and doing not much of anything at all. I guess it all just depends on the vibe.
Sometimes I host a person and they just wanna do and see it all. Other times I might host someone and they just wanna sleep all day or do some sort of remote work… It’s not what you do, it’s how you go about it. I’ve hosted peeps who definitely did NOT embody the Couchsurfing spirit imo, but they were amazing fun. I’ve hosted others that were like seemingly PERFECT guest but so boring hahahaha. So. Yeah, not sure where I’m going with that but… Anyway.
So while I don’t have any hard hosting preferences I find that the following quote is not only hilarious but also usually spot on.
“People and fish stink after three days.” - Benjamin Franklin
Hobbies :
Lego - So I have a Star Wars tie fighter on display in my living room. I actually put it together while I was staying at a homeless shelter. I intend to put together more creations.
Casual gaming - Not just video games. We could do a game of chess or a card game etc… My chess elo is a casual 1100 ish.
Photography - I have a shutterstock portfolio thanks to being inspired by someone I hosted. And I’ve sold some of my photos and videos.
Museums - The American Museum of Natural History is my favorite museum. Why? I dunno I find the place to be very stimulating to my sense of curiosity. One moment I can be gawking at a huge dinosaur skeleton, the next, sitting inside of a planetarium gazing at the heavens, then maybe go check out a piece of a meteorite or some fancy gems and minerals. Plus they sell freeze dried astronaut food lol.
Personal Mood Enhancers :

Wine/Coffee
Delicious Food
Doing Absolutely Nothing / Netflix
Bubble Baths (hahaha)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I need some variety in my life. To meet some different people, to experience some different things… To live vicariously through the experiences of others.
My Philosophy:
“You don't get it, there is a darkness inside of me. It wants to get out, wants to walk around. It wants some walking around money, and it wants to buy some shoes, and wants to, it wants to walk up to people and say "Hey! Gator don't play no shit! You hear- you feel me? Gator never been about that! Never, never been about playin' no shit!"

Music, Movies, and Books
Media wise ? I can go for main stream science fiction and fantasy to the rare sensual and racy stuff you might find at some hole in the wall independent book store.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I Astro Projected into another dimension then tried to convince the inhabitants of that world that I was from a different world… Then I woke up.
Teach, Learn, Share
I don’t teach anymore… We can do the museum thing. Take some pictures. Maybe smoke the peace pipe… Also I enjoy coop video games, games where we work together to beat the game.
