About Me
Welcome to my Profile!
I'm Darmes – a bearded geek with a curious mind and a passion for learning everything possible. My world revolves around tech, travel, yoga, sports, and exploring the universe one conversation at a time.
Professionally, I'm a Sales and Consulting specialist in tech and fintech and work for a US company (WFH). If it's about solving problems or building something exciting – count me in.
Outside of work, I’m big on Coffee, Food, Travel, Books, self-growth, fitness, and authenticity. I believe in kindness, self-love, and confidence as the core green flags in life. You'll find me geeking out on new ideas, managing to head to the gym, sipping on a local brew, or just soaking in new cultures.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I know that the best way to truly understand a place is through its people. Couchsurfing is not just about free stays – it’s about genuine human connection, sharing stories, and growing together. I love meaningful conversations, discovering hidden local gems, and exchanging perspectives that challenge the norm.
Whether you're into tech, philosophy, fitness, food, or just a good laugh – I’d love to connect, learn, and maybe share a meal or two, a laugh, a story – or just chill and talk about life and the stars.
Let's make travel about people, not just places.
Interests
When I’m not working, I’m usually doing one (or many) of these things: hitting the gym, swimming, shopping, sipping a drink with friends, reading, networking, traveling, vibing to music, bingeing on Netflix, exploring hidden gems, diving into new cultures, cooking up something fun, or just hosting & partying with good people.
I’m deeply curious and love meaningful connections – whether it's over street food in a local market or a deep late-night conversation on a rooftop.
Professionally, I’m a startup enthusiast, business process expert, and a sales specialist. I’ve worked across HR, IT consulting, and fintech, helping organizations streamline, scale, and grow. If you're into entrepreneurship or need someone to brainstorm an idea or navigate a business challenge – I’m always up for sharing my experience or lending a hand.

Music, Movies, and Books
🎵 Music:
I’m not tied to one genre — I listen based on my mood, energy, or the vibe of the moment. From soulful acoustics to high-energy EDM, from classic rock to ambient soundscapes — if it resonates, I’m all in.
🎬 Movies & 📺 Series:
Big fan of Fantasy, Adventure, Survival, Mind bending and of course, anything from the Marvel, Disney, or DC universes. Lately, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for documentaries and docuseries — especially ones that explore human behavior, history, and innovation.
I’m also drawn to most LGBTQIA+ themed content — stories that reflect diverse lives, challenges, and experiences always get my attention.
📚 Books & Authors I Love:
I gravitate toward books that expand the mind and nourish the soul. A few of my favorite authors:
New reads include: Satoshi Yagisawa & Toshikazu Kawaguchi - beautiful Japanese writers
Louise Hay, Abraham Hicks, Dr. Joe Dispenza, Brené Brown, Paulo Coelho, Robert Greene,
Always up for book swaps, binge-watch suggestions, or a music session over coffee or wine! (I have a list of 10k ebooks if you need any)
