Hi, I'm Hels (Heulwen) and I spent 22 years in the British Army and enjoyed an interesting and varied career involving operational tours to Afghanistan, Iraq, Northern Ireland, Bosnia and the Falklands; extensive sporting activities such as skiing, mountain biking, orienteering, squash, and travel all over the world; Nepal, Kenya, USA. When I retired I wasn't ready for another career sitting in an office so i decided I should leave my old lifestyle behind and travel. I discovered cycle touring by trike, workaway, trusted housesitter, warmshowers and couchsurfing and I've had the most amazing experiences. I've discovered a whole new travelling experience and I'm loving every second.

I retired from the British Army at the end of 2014. I sold all my possessions, rented my house and started travelling in Jan 2015. I hope to cycle/travel the world.
