ABOUT ME

A super outgoing Canadian couple travelling. We're having the times of our lives travelling around together and never knew it would ever be this fun. Both of us are extremely out going and are up for trying any new challenge whether it be a book club, a drinking contest, or a jungle trek.
We both have completed University degrees and have worked for awhile, and felt it was time to go on a little adventure. We love meeting new people and experiencing new cultures. We have already been through Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, and Vietnam. We just got introduced to couchsurfing by a fellow Canadian and thought we would give it a go through Malaysia, Indonesia, and beyond...
We love to keep things fun and exciting, no matter what we embark in.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We have joined a few groups that are linked to where we think we will be spending most of our time in Australia. We're excited to join the meetings in Brisbane to finally get to know everyone and to finally get to couchsurf.
It's also exciting to think that we will get to be hosts when we finally get back to Canada.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far nothing! But we are just about to enter Australia again and then you will see this box explode with experiences!

Interests

Both of us are pretty outdoorsy. We like to stay active and will participate in anything that involves a group of people. We're both really athletic. Darren is a huge hockey fan and I (Teryn) am addicted to swimming.
We LOVE food and will try (and probably love) anything and everything.
I love to write and find myself constantly using my blog as an outlet. Darren is addicted to music and would proudly challenge anyone to 'Name that Tune'

Music, Movies, and Books

This is hard because there are two of us...

Teryn has trouble sitting still or staying awake through most movies. Where Dare's favorites are Shawshank Redemption, Billy Madison, Happy Gilmore, Pulp Fiction, That's it That's all (snowboarding), ect., ect.

As for books, Teryn always has her nose in a book. Her favorites are Shantaram, Geek Love, The Alchemist, Saving Fish From Drowning, Girlfriend in a Coma, Acid House ect., ect.

Darren moreso likes biographies and non fiction novels such as Little Princes, Scar Tissue, Heroin Diaries, The Alchemist, Shantaram, ect., ect.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the most amazing things we have done together is motorbiking almost all of Vietnam. We were able to stop in local villages and see 'The Real Vietnam'

One of the most amazing things we have seen is a sunrise at the top of a volano in Bali. Also, while diving in Gili Trawanga we got to see a school of ten parrotfish and a white tipped reef shark.

Teach, Learn, Share

Looking back on our previous travels, the people we most enjoyed were the ones that were outgoing, HAPPY, enthusiastic, opinionated without being know it alls, and all of them had a love for life. It sounds corny but there's a big difference between the type of person who is comfortable in their life and the type of person who is happy with their life.
