我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

To discover the world, one place at a time. CS provides a great perspective by putting travelers in touch with locals! The camaraderie is great, no matter where you bump into a CSer in the world and that's quite rare in this era.

My CS mileage is quite limited; I first surfed while stuck in Canada for 2 months... Good times! I've loved every CS experience since then.

Photography, astronomy, hiking, motorsports (watching, haha!), reading and long road trips!

Sometimes, I go flying with a local pilots group although I don't have a license. I generally man the radios :)

I don't have a particular type.

Music is very eclectic, books are generally whatever tickles my fancy: world history, fiction, science, satire & some light reads; but I tend to read more than 1 book at a time.

I prefer foreign/independent/comedy movies. I also watch the newer action-hero type movies for the awesome CGI. Apollo 13, Top Gun, Rush & Le Mans rank high. Top Gear deserves an honorable mention :)

Awesome memories: Northern Lights & everything about Iceland, sunrise over the desert in Utah, meteor showers over the Californian high desert, cruises on the PCH, dune riding in Dubai & being charged by an elephant in Maasai Mara.
