Hi there surfer buddy, I am sofa-king looking forward to meet you! Welcome to the oh-sofascinating world of couchsurfing! It's sofa-ntastic to see you here! Okay, I ll stop!

I am an easy going MBA grad who likes to write, drink beer and listen to people.

My name is Darshit (not pronounced as The Shit or Dark Shit). The ending T is pronounced as in tea by moving your tongue a bit forward and using the ridge between your upper teeth and saying 't'!! Try it! Failed? 'You tried so hard, and got sofaaaaaa!' In the end, does it even matter?

My love for mangoes, beer, long walks by the river and dancing knows no end.

A few tips to getting accepted:

1. If you send a request that can be sent to a cow, I will not even moo!
Come on, moo-ve me with your words!
2. Please don't send me a request a month before, I am not a good planner!
3. If you get accepted, I would like you to bring me something to remember you with! It doesn't necessarily have to be expensive: refrigerator magnets from your city, a currency coin, a bottle of wine, an old sock with a hole, a card with a personal message, a drawing on a napkin. Anything that will make me remember you! In return, I cook delicious Indian delicacies for you, make Masala Chai for you and keep you safe and warm!
4. Avid travellers will get accepted faster!
5. Couchsurfing hosts will get accepted faster!
6. References are the most important: please don't write two line references. Make them creative, descriptive and sensible. Describe the experience! Don't just say I am nice, friendly and fun. Justify it with examples of what did I do to make you feel that way. For example, Darshit is sofa-nny because he knows how stupid the world can be sometimes. Sass it up, grandma!

We exist in this world. CS gives me an avenue to exhibit my existence to a unique set of people who come from different places, speaking different languages and talking about different cultures that they have been inspired from. To look into their eyes and sail together for a while, exchanging food, feelings and an undying love for travelling is a pious experience in itself.
