About Me

I have worked with migrants in Canada, social innovators in Scotland, and human right advocates in Norway. As such I am fortunate to say I have heard a lot of different perspectives on the world we live in and always excited to hear more! I love to learn, listening to music, cooking, and as most Canadians would say, love watching hockey! I guess one. "unique" thing was that from January 2018 to January 2020 I only watched a film twice. I chose to cut out the ours of movies and t.v to see if I could memorize the map of the world. It is a lot trickier than you'd think!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When I first heard of the concept of "open borders", I instantly was captivated. I find couch surfing to embody this principle. Also, there is no better way to learn about the country you are visiting than this!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was in Oslo for work and got to attend a lecture that reminded me of an old friend I had not spoken to for a while. Decided I would message her to wish her well. Turned out she was on her way to Stockholm and I had two extra days so went and explored that city with her instead!

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: A lot about Canada, general knowledge, and a recipe or two!

Learn: Where you're from, the languages you speak, and if so, the principles of the faith you adhere to!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Studying Law, History and Politics, and being a fan of sports and music has makes me a great addition to a pub quiz team! Definitely offer to cook a meal or two! Mostly, laughter!

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Finland, Germany, Italy, Jamaica, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, United States
