If you asked my best friends about me, they'd say I'm a good friend who drinks too much coffee and is extremely proud of his beard. They'd describe my sense of humour as offbeat, because that adjective sums me up pretty well. Some of them would mention that as a non-drinker and non-smoker I'm pretty clean, and that I've never once left my empty Coke cans on their coffee table, and often volunteer as designated driver on near-endless nights of party-oriented madness. In short, my friends think I'm pretty awesome - and quite wordy - and hopefully that opinion extends to most other people too.
My attention? The span of that is pretty short. Again, the "too much coffee" thing. I spend most of my free time listening to music, or playing it, since I've been playing in bands for something like 15 years now. Diehard music lover, really. Big fan of movies too, anything from comedies to adventures to thrillers, and most of what's in between. If neither of those things are an option, I love getting out and seeing nature - forests, sunsets, coastlines, all those majestic sights - or finding awesome vegetarian food and filling myself with it, or deciding which tattoo design I want to get inked next, since I'm starting to run out of space!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Moments that left me awestruck? OK. Staring out across the water by the beach in Honolulu, watching the sun set. That was pretty awesome, just being in the right place at the right time to watch the whole thing. Walking down Broadway in New York City on new years eve was amazing - the lights and colour and all the people, just so excited on life, that just left me dumbstruck. Stepping onstage in Malang on the 2nd last show of my band's Asian tour, running on 35 minutes sleep and some amazing peanut satay tofu, to be confronted by 1000 screaming fans who'd somehow discovered songs I wrote on my couch, that blew my mind to the point that I forgot how to play my instrument. These and a whole lot more, really.
