ABOUT ME

I'm peaceful, a little shy, I like challenges and trying new things, hearing stories, meeting and helping. I'm happy for a quiet time or being out till late. I play guitar and listen to music constantly. I really enjoy learning and playing different styles/genres.

I enjoy being outside, exploring a city, walking through country or sailing. I run a lot for exercise and enjoyment. I'm also into outrigging (polynesian canoeing) and have started to cycle (though I would prefer to run.

Recently I finished a year's volunteer position in Nuku'alofa, Tonga, working with a government ministry. It was slow, quiet (esp. on Sunday), small, warm and humid - an opposite to my home in Melbourne.

Been on and off the CS scene for several years. Mostly been a traveller but got into the Melbourne scene on a social basis.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

I'm not much of a screen watching person as I fall asleep too easily. Although I enjoy thoughtful films; arthouse, cultural, sci-fi, fantasy, personal growth/exploration films.
Music is ranging. Indie, folk, rock, metal, classical, electronic. I enjoy music for the journey of the music, not so much the lyrics.
Books are generally non-fiction. Science based, biographies, history, philosophy.
