About Me

I was born and raised in Mexico City. Moved to the United States for work in 2005. Living in Lisbon since 2016. Passionate about Europe, especially Portugal where part of my ancestry is from. I am a very easy going guy, a bit shy but also fun; independent and well educated. I have visited 37 countries and recently went back to school to learn new things out of my previous background. I enjoy volunteering for charitable and cultural organizations.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I recently joined because of my passion exploration new places and getting to meet people. To discover and be amazed. To share and give back if the opportunity arises.

Music, Movies, and Books

One favorite book, 'Vagabonding' by R. Potts. Also 'Walden' by H. D. Thoreau: "I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived."

I enjoy independent films over commercial. Not a big TV watcher.

My music taste is all over the place: from Pat Benatar to ABBA, from Mozart to Mariachi, from Pop to World, from Francoise Hardy to Mylene Farmer. Love female fado singers (Mariza, Ana Moura, Gisela Jõao, Carminho).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I ran a full marathon in October of 2015 and have ran four half-marathons, all within 2.5 years of becoming a runner.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am good with people and enjoy doing from simple tasks to solving complex problems. I enjoy different cultures and languages. Volunteering is a great way to interact, give back and meet new people.
