Why I’m on Couchsurfing

CS was recommend to me by an old co-worker some years ago.

Since then, I've had some of the most interesting and fun times meeting folks and making friends here. I continue to use the app to remain open to spontaneity.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Electronic, mostly, but a little bit of everything.

Books: Mainly scientific articles these days with some philosophy, spirituality, and AI/ML tools sprinkled in.

Movies: Psychological benders/thrillers, Films by Christopher Nolan and Quentin Tarantino, Korean and Japanese films like Old Boy and Cold Fish.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Witnessed the sunrise at the top of Mount Fuji or rode the full length of Vietnam on a motorcycle/scooter from South to North.

Teach, Learn, Share

A photon, a measured quantity of light, takes about 1.2 million years to get to the sun's surface after being generated through nuclear fusion reactions at the sun's core. It then only takes 8 minutes and 20 seconds or so to get to Earth

In other words, all sunlight is over a million years old 🤯
