My goal is to know myself better every day. I enjoy new experiences and novel ideas. I grew up in Central Asia (Tajikistan) and southern California. I was an ocean lifeguard for 7 years and have spent the last years traveling and working and volunteering in various places. I'm currently helping lead a permaculture project in Tepoztlan, Mexico.

I like to spend my time outside: body surfing, hiking, camping, backpacking, playing ultimate frisbee. I dabble in piano, guitar, singing. I'm generally reading 5-10 books at any given time.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like to stray away from the tourist travel types of exploration. If there's a way to spend time with people who know the character of the place or region and lifestyle of the people, that is way more alluring to me.

I'm a Wilderness EMT, have studied permaculture and yoga and I like to share the knowledge I've acquired from my many interests. I love to learn language and am happy to teach what I know as well.
