About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To Live is To Fly.

ABOUT ME

UPDATED: November 2025

Currently: teaching an undergraduate writing course while studying for my Master's in Linguistics at UPRM in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, for the next few years.

I am a (non-practicing) lawyer, teacher, and traveler from Louisiana, USA.

PHILOSOPHY

Life dedicated to: music, books, food, adventure, languages, cultures, art, film, photography, slow-immersive travel, kindness, good food, swimming, humanity, and much more.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Well, I'm finally back on Couchsurfing after quite a long absence. Happy to surf again soon during some upcoming travels and host again in 2026 when I get a bigger apartment in Puerto Rico (updated November 2025).

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I host frequently and surf occasionally. CS is a great project and community. I have hosted in Cape Verde, Albania, Laos, Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, and Saudi Arabia. I have surfed in many other countries during my travels.

I relocated to Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, in August 2025 but for now have a tiny studio with no space for guests. Hopefully, I'll upgrade to a bigger apartment in 2026.

My upcoming trips where I hope to couchsurf and meet people: Saint Croix, USVI (November 21-27)

Music, Movies, and Books

Yes. Yes. Yes. Essential for life and I'm a voracious consumer of all three. And my list of favorites is way too long.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Brazil is my favorite country in which to live, travel, and explore. Though I have many others that are a close 2nd. Other travel highlights: Ethiopia, Cape Verde, Benin, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Mali, Bangladesh, Niger, Argentina, Cambodia, Nicaragua, Philippines, Makawi, Burma, Colombia, Eritrea, India, Mozambique, Laos, East Timor, Galapagos, Turkmenistan... so many more!

Teach, Learn, Share

Interesting. Creative. Fun. Intelligent. Outgoing. Artistic. Laidback. Friendly. Book/Music lover. Adventurer. Traveler. Teacher. Learner. Lover of life.
