Hello, my name is David. I'm a high school science teacher from the US. I'm not at all like a typical Texan! I'm a vegetarian, I love sci-fi and fantasy novels/movies, and a glass of red wine. I'm a bit introverted, but once I feel comfortable I will talk to you for hours on end about whatever the topic happens to be :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm traveling solo in Europe for the first time, and I can't think of a better way to experience the culture than to stay with friendly local people.

Interests

I'm interested in education (that's why I teach), in the environment and protecting it, in people and the way we communicate our memories and lives with one another. I'm interested in history, in art and music, film, and almost any medium.

One of my favorite authors is Kurt Vonnegut. I also am a big sci-fi and fantasy lover, so I love Frank Herbert, Tolkien, and George R.R. Martin.
