Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've been fortunate before in my travels to know people in the countries I've been visiting, which as offered me the opportunity to get to know places on a much more intimate, local level than I would otherwise have been able to.
Couchsurfing seemed like the logical next step!

Normally I love hosting and cooking for people, and showing them round my local galleries. Unfortunately my current family situation means I don't have space to host at the moment, but do get in touch if you want a tour guide!

Anything by Terry Pratchett.
His Dark Materials, A Song of Ice and Fire, The Flashman Papers.
Jasper Fforde, George Orwell, Richard Adams, David Mitchell, F Scott Fitzgerald, Arthur Conan Doyle, Neil Gaiman, John Wyndham. Too many great books and authors to list.
Outside of fiction I love reading books on art and/or science - Michio Kaku and Armand Marie Leroi are great writers on the latter subject.

I'm not picky when it comes to movies, I'll watch anything from (deliberately?) rubbish 80's action B movies to world cinema, sci-fi to Hitchcock, superhero to arthouse.
