I'm a math student in the University of Helsinki. I'm probably going to further my studies even after graduation. Before that I would like to travel and see the world. I'm a guy who's really into going deep into different subjects; I like to have conversations. In life there is this interesting interplay with 'opposites'. Too much discipline and there is no freedom and if there's no discipline there's no freedom to be actualized. I have chosen to become a mathematician. It's a lot of work and it certainly takes time and commitment, but as I have noticed, certain amount of commitment is what makes freedom possible for me.

I'm a friendly person and will clean after myself. If there's something where I can help, I usually offer to help out.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm interested in people and places. I think that connecting with others is an important part of a journey. I think that Couchsurfing might facilitate that aspect of a travel.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have enjoyed a lot from Eminem's music since a young age. I don't remember which movie is my favourite. Most recent series I've watched are probably Game of Thrones and West World. Both are phenomenal. I haven't read books recently other than for studies. I liked Marcus Aurelius' book meditations. I especially liked the beginning since he shows his gratitude for his fellow man. He was an interesting fellow that's for sure.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent a year working in a library, where I was a very much a part of the community. I helped kids with homework, taught chess, taught maths to highschoolers and to emigrants. I learned a lot in that year. There were some groups of troubled youth and I was able to make contact with them. Talked about life. I gained at least some of theirs respect and because of that I'm quite proud of myself.
