About Me

I am a 38 year old who has decided to start backpacking late in life im looking to do whatever i can wherever i can and will work hard. To go to France is a dream of mine as i love history and have done since i was young, im into reading and writing, i like all types of music and i am prepared to try anything that is new apart from bungie jumping, it just looks scary. This will be my first time doing this and im in England waiting for an oppurtunity to get to europe then see what happens.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To discover France and meet new people i dont want to stay in hostels all the time and feel i could experience new things with different people.

Interests

I love history especially french, English and American, I like basketball although can't play much now in the french countryside and I like psychology, and to be fair I like anything

  • basketball
  • psychology
  • french history
  • reading and writing

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all music and mostly like classical and 70s like the Smiths or Supertramp, I like 'On the Waterfront' with Marlon Brando and i really like the old Fred Astaire and Ginger Rodgers films like 'Showtime' and 'Tophat'. My fav books are 'In Cold Blood' by Truman Capote and 'To kill a Mockingbird' by Harper Lee and my favourite is the 'Girl with the Dragon Tattoo' by Steig Larsson.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Im writing a book on psychology, sociology and economy without a degree, oh and I touched a Van Gogh in the Musee D'orsay.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am learning sign language and i could teach others some, id like to be a teacher some day so know alot of history and plenty of other topics i also have a lateral brain which helps me to help others to think differently or outside the box.

What I Can Share with Hosts

my ability to help people in general and i would do anthing to make them feel comfortable or help them if stuck, these are things i consider myself really good at and my ability to learn is quick apart from my ability to speak french which im struggling with.

Countries I’ve Lived In

England
