At 53 I decided to take a sabbatical, move to South Lake Tahoe and dedicate myself to snowboarding the 2019/20 season. COVID hit and Tahoe seemed like a good place to ride out the storm. So I got to enjoy a second season on the mountain.

So many things happened during that time; COVID, civil unrest, political turmoil, January 6th, etc, etc, etc. At one point it felt like the world was ending. So I decided to retire at 55 to enjoy life as much as possible.

At the end of the 20/21 season I moved to Central Florida to be close to my new granddaughter. Now I spend my time boating, fishing, surfing and spoiling my new granddaughter.

I do still take an the occasional consulting gigs that come my way if it looks interesting and rewarding.

I'm on CouchSurfing because it seems like a great community to meet new like minded people. I've met a lot of great people in Tahoe and know the area well so it would be fun to show others everything the area has to offer.

I find myself listening to talk more than music; Stern, Rogan, Politics, Tech, etc. When I do listen to music it's usually curated. Like most art I know what I like when I hear it but don't go out looking for new stuff. I create a Pandora channel and let their algorithm introduce music I might like.
