To ride my bicycle around the world and climb as many mountains as possible.

ABOUT ME

Im a twenty three year old California boy. Originally from the Toronto area, Canada, but have lived in the US for nearly my entire life. I currently live in Santa Barbara, where I enjoy cycling, rock climbing, intense hikes, anything adventurous, good food, swims in the ocean, and the occasional picnic in the park, playing guitar, and a great beer! In a couple weeks I will be leaving this most beautiful city to move back home with my parents, they have been kind enough to allow me to use their house as a base camp for my travels. I want to see the world like it is, not through a television screen, and not when Im too old to really dive into it. Couch surfing seems like the perfect way to do this!

PHILOSOPHY

Im a deep believer in Karma. I try to treat everyone around me as best as possible including the earth. Im not too passionate about any of my opinions because, well Im just me. A tiny microorganism in a massive universe, smaller than the tiniest speck of dust. However perhaps with enough new experiences and revelations I can grow to be more.
Meeting new people from different walks of life is always refreshing. It changes me, rounds my surfaces. I truly feel that I was put on this earth only to see as much of it as possible and pass.

Books: Dharma Bums, The Road, Naked Lunch, Junkie, Anything by Eric Schlosser (Reefer Madness, Fast Food Nation), The China Study, Naked, Me Talk Pretty One Day. Its been a long time since I've read anything unfortunately. Although with all the travels I plan on doing Im sure I will get around to more of it.

Music: Pink Floyd, Radiohead, Yeasayer, Ratatat, Pixies, Nirvana, Michael Jackson, Johnny Cash, Amon Tobin, Daft Punk, Bach, Dead Kennedys, Crass, Dj Shadow, Brain Jonestown Massacre, Talking Heads, Pretty Lights, Thievery Corporation. All popular stuff. I don't dive too deep in the music world, its a bit overwhelming for me.
