About Me

I'm David, I live in Bordeaux, France, where I was almost born and bred. I lived in Paris for 5 years while I was studying and I also had the chance to live in Seoul, Korea, for about one year.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I recently discovered this community and it seemed so open and fresh that I want to contribute to it. I think meeting new people is what makes life exciting and it seems like a great way to meet LOTS of interesting people!

Interests

*I am a professional singer and vocal coach (yup, despite the master in business) so obviously I have a strong interest in music.
*I am also into computer programming (I am learning to code in C++)
*I read a lot, fiction and non fiction alike
*I love playing beach volleyball (we have a spot on the former docks, here in Bordeaux, that is gorgeous for beach volleyball)

Music, Movies, and Books

*In music, lots of different stuff:
-lots of American and English musicals (Jekyll & Hyde, Book of Mormon...),
-Sam Smith (his voice sounds like liquid chocolate when I'm tired)
-Otis Redding
-U2
-Sting...

*Movies: depends of the day you ask ^^
-The Theory of everything
-The imitation Game
-About time (gorgeous one)
-Jodorowski's Dune

*Books:
-Harry Potter and the Method of Rationality (fanfiction by Eliezer Yudkowski, awesome read)
-2312 by Kim Stanley Robinson
-Cosplay by Laurent Ladouari

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Feeling a bit stupid here. Once you've done something, it generally feels "normal". Is it just me?

But I'd say: Singing and dancing alone on stage in front of 800 people

Teach, Learn, Share

*I teach vocal technique for speakers and singers
*I believe in continuous learning (nowadays I am learning to code and to speedread)

What I Can Share with Hosts

*Good laughs
*Interesting conversations
*A song!
