About Me

I'm David. I'm half german, half irish, born and raised in Nuremberg, Germany. I'm currently living in Berlin and will start a Job as a preschool teacher from end of August on. I'm an uncomplicated guy, able to adjust to almost any situation you throw me in. I'm interested in a lot of things. From beautiful landscapes and wild nature to the vibrant nightlife i hope to find in your city. I also love to cook, good literature, good music, preferably in a good club and good conversations. One of my biggest interests, is meeting people from all across the world to share storys, experiences and cultural influences. I'm not the best at making small talk, but as soon as a conversation has substance, i'm more then willing to discuss every topic that comes my way.
It's actually my first time couchsurfing, though i generally travel a lot. Thus far i mostly stayed in hostels or at places of people i met during my travels.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm visiting my grandma in Dublin and thought, why not take the chance and make the detour over Glasgow and Belfast. Many people gave me the advise to try couchsurfing when i go to Glasgow, because the only way to really get an idea of the place, is to let the Scotts show you their City. And since all the scottish people i came across where uniquely crazy and amazing people, i think that's a good idea.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Beginning of May, i met , under the most crazy circumstances, a greek girl in a club in Berlin. It was a Thursday morning, we instantly connected, it was enchanting. We met again on Saturday evening and partied all night through, our special bond growing with every second. She left that Sunday evening, back to Thessaloniki. It almost felt like a dream. After a few days of texting and skyping, and the affection ever growing, i thought: "What am i afraid of? Opportunities are their to be seized!" I booked a flight to the North of Greece, and one week after we parted, i held her in my arms again. We spend an amazing, time together, beeing on such a similar intellectual and emotional level, that it was almost to good to be true. When it was time to say good by, both of us looked into our hearts and realized, that through that immensely deep conversational level we established over that week, romantic feelings where somehow gone. I went to Greece to find the love of my live and came back with an evenly important thing. A Friend for life.
