About Me

I'm a 25 year old American citizen who is currently in Thailand, looking to make moves towards New Zealand. I've also lived in San Diego, California and Gustavus, Alaska. I love travel and have a passion for all things new and exciting. I actually just became a certified rescue scuba diver (it was incredible)! I've worked as a breakfast/pastry chef, a white water raft guide, a teacher, and hopefully one day an extreme sports instructor (just haven't found my sport yet). I'm very easy to get along with; I love food and a good craft beer; and dogs are just the coolest as far as I'm concerned. My mama raised me right, sure did! Haha, kidding with the "southern" dialect there, but truly I am a very respectful, thankful, and overall nice human being who is just looking for other nice human beings to lend a much appreciated helping hand.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to explore all that the world has to offer but my pockets just aren't that deep; so I need a little help from my friends! I've heard great things about my friend Holleigh's experiences while couch surfing so I figured I would give it a go.

Interests

the world and its people, to be very general and broad. I'm a psych major after all so it kinda makes sense why that's my answer. But to be more specific I'm a huge fan of cooking. I love honing my skills in the kitchen. I also enjoy nature a great deal: Hiking, climbing, trekking mountains, kayaking, camping, rafting, hammock chilling. Yeah, that about sums it up :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Classic Rock would probably be my go to but I'm a music lover of all genres. I also love movies; a good dra-medy or anything with Denzel Washington will work. As far as books go I don't read as much as I would like. Loved the Harry Potter series but I read that when I was young. I recently read "The Bone Collector" and "Jurassic Park", both of which were excellent. I'm currently attempting to get into the first Game of Thrones book.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sky diving was probably the most amazing I've done for myself; truly loved it!
