About Me

I've been happily married for almost 16yrs and now we've quit our jobs to travel the world for a couple of years. Occasionally we like to take "breaks" and separate to explore the world on our own, as there is something to be said about maintaining one's sense of independence. Plus being together in tight spaces 24/7 for any length of time warrants a little time apart.

For myself, I'm super laid-back and open-minded; I love to travel, eat delicious food and be active. I've been fortunate enough to travel to over 40 countries across the world and will try most anything once. Whether it's bungee jumping off a bridge in South Africa or eating whatever the local delicacy is that may seem strange to the "western" palette, I'm open to what the world has to offer. I find joy in meeting people from different cultures and learning more about their backgrounds. I'm currently exploring places I've never been before, trying to eat what local cuisines I can, while stopping in to see friends and family I have around the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I decided to quit the office job and travel the world. As I roam from country to country, I find that best way to really understand local culture is by meeting people from the place I'm visiting. Couchsurfing offers the ability to accomplish all of those things I love about travel.

Music, Movies, and Books

It sounds cliche, but I enjoy all different types of music (choral, classical, country, house, motown, EDM, pop, rap, hip-hop, reggae(ton), etc.) and it really depends on my mood. Probably my least favorite is heavy/death metal.
Favorite movies: Spaceballs, The Princess Bride
Favorite books: Being Mortal, Factulness, GoT (Author needs to finish writing those books), Stephen King books

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I performed a solo in Carnegie Hall, a very famous concert hall in New York.
