About Me
I am currently in my senior year at the University of Louisville working towards my Bachelors of Science in Chemical Engineering. I play multiple instruments and love all types of music; it's a big part of my life. I enjoy being out in nature, taking hikes, and exploring new areas. I'm a very friendly person and love meeting new people and making new friends. I'm probably one of the most understanding and empathetic people you'll meet. I also really love animals.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I heard about couch surfing through a Tedx talk on youtube about a man who traveled the world with almost no money. Of course the idea of couch surfing is appealing from a financial point of view, but that wasn't even what caught my attention. As I listened to this mans story, witnessed his experiences through pictures with the locals, and heard the stories of friendships and bonds being formed from around the world my entire viewpoint on travel changed in that instant. I feel that the way modern tourism is set up robs us of so many of the more important and deeper experiences when travelling. I don't just want to see new places and experience new places...I want to see and experience the people as well and immerse myself in the culture as well. I want to come away with new friendships and bonds that will last a lifetime and I'll never forget. How much are you really taking away from a trip if you only take a few pretty pictures but never really immerse yourself in the culture?

Music, Movies, and Books
Favorite music: I genuinely enjoy all types of music... But if I had to pick I would say hip-hop and indie/alternative rock are among some of my favorite genres.
Favorite Movies: Artificial Intelligence (A.I.), 2001: A Space Odyssey, and that's all I can think of now. I don't watch too much TV or movies.
Favorite Books: My favorite author is Stephen King.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I traveled to Palo Alto California where I stayed at Stanford University over the summer before my senior year of high school. It was for a Leadership Summit focused on technology and other kids from all over the world participated. I met people from Vietnam, South Africa, Europe, other parts of Asia, and from various states all around the U.S. We explored the Stanford campus, built a robot to try and solve a big issue facing our society today, and visited several major tech companies headquarters such as Adobe, Google, and Facebook. It was an unforgettable experience.
