Hey I'm Dave! 🖐

I am from Klagenfurt, Austria in Carinthia – where the stunning “Wörthersee” (lake) is located. 😉 For 10 years I work as a tinsmith fixing roofs and other stuff.

When I was a kid I played ice hockey for the KAC (the ice hockey team for Klagenfurt) and I still love to pick up the stick and going to the games of the Austrian hockey league. Furthermore I like climbing and took part in the Carinthian championships.

Not only in my job but also in my free time I love being outdoors enjoying nature, reading and meeting friends and I consider myself a pretty decent cook.

I am a thoughtful and sociable person and I love a good talk. Nice meeting you! 😊

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My brother suggested trying couchsurfing because it is a great way to meet new people and new cultures and see places off the beaten touristy tracks. And I am looking forward to get to know you! 😊

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I won the Carinthian championships for sport climbing three times (one time with a broken finger) – no bragging here. 😅

Teach, Learn, Share

I can show you around and help you explore the beautiful nature of Carinthia. I know the best spots for swimming in summer, where to go hiking in the mountains and of course where to climb or go ice skating in winter. But of course I am happy to show you the city and have a good conversation (if you’re more of the chiller type 😉).
