I was born in Tokyo Japan on May 3, 1952, as the son of a diplomat. I grew up in multiple countries - Japan, Switzerland, Taiwan, USA, Hong Kong, Burma, and have traveled to and lived in many other countries, like Romania, Mexico, India, Turkey, Greece, Israel, Palestine, Costa Rica, Peru, etc,,, I am a musician - I make and play my own pan flutes from bamboo, and I sing and play guitar. I was trained in Oriental Medicine and Ayurveda, and have a website about Greek / Unani medicine: www.greekmedicine.net , which has taken me all over the world. I love herbal medicine and the natural way of healing, and I am eager to learn more. My other interests include travel, hiking, astrology, religion and spirituality, and writing. I am looking for my sweet spot on Mother Earth, my place in the sun!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to travel, and consider it to be the best form of education in life. I am also looking for a good place to retire and live simply and cheaply for the rest of my life. In this connection, I am especially interested in Mexico, with the city of Durango (Victoria de Durango) in Durango state being high on my short list of possible retirement havens, although I am open to other places.

I like many kinds of music - Romanian, Indian and many kinds of world music; pop, jazz, classical, blues, etc... As for movies, I like comedy, adventure and historical documentaries. As for books, one of my favorite subjects is religion and spirituality, and especially Christian history and origins.

I can teach astrology (specialties: medical, natal, locational and relationship astrology) flute making (I make my own concert quality Romanian style pan flutes), music (pan flute, flute, guitar, etc...), herbal medicine, Greek Medicine, Oriental Medicine, Ayurveda.
