About Me

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've been struck with an unavoidable case of wanderlust. Left my job, a tremendous amount of lovely friends and family in pursuit of new adventures. Fingers crossed I can keep this up for at least a year but that is going to require traveling on the VERY cheap. With couchsurfing I can accomplish all the things at once.

Interests

Inventing, punning, teaching, finding new an interesting things to eat.

You hear the one about the guy who went to war and was hit with mustard gas AND pepper spray? He went home a seasoned veteran :D

Music, Movies, and Books

All in no particular order!

Books: Name of the Wind, Game of Thrones, American Gods, The Foundation Trilogy, the Fault in Our Stars, and the Dresden Files.

Movies: I Heart Huckabees, American Hustle, Gravity, My Neighbor Totoro, Spirited Away, and Hedwig and the Angry Inch. One day I will own a room sized plushie Totoro.

Shows: Brooklyn 99, American Dad, Game of Thrones, True Detective, Modern Family and Shark Tank. All that is Cosmos. I'd inject cosmos in my veins if they could concentrate it in liquid form.

For some really strange reason I just love the show clean house. There are so many like it, but that one in particular just gets to me. The best episodes have that Niecy lady.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once randomly brought a 6 foot wide, 250 foot long roll of bubble wrap to a party then laid it out on the dance floor. What proceeded was an hour long, bubble wrap popping dance party the likes of which have become a necessity at future parties. If that sounds as amazing to you as it was for me, we should be friends.
