About Me
Hey! My name is David and I'm from Cork in the Republic of Ireland. I moved to Edinburgh to study Medicine in 2013 so I have lived in Scotland for the past 4 years. I love travelling and meeting new people.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've had some amazing experiences travelling over the past few years. I have noticed that some of my best moments have been spent with locals and learning about their lives. I'm now on couchsurfing to see if I can meet more interesting people to explore their area and culture!

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm into pretty much anything and love hearing local music!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Travelled overland from Riga to Hong Kong.
I travelled on the Trans-Siberian Railway and met some really fascinating people! (playing the traditional Irish flute for a Mongolian nomadic family on the steppe, camping and cooking on an open fire on Lake Baikal, seeing the morning flag ceremony in Tianamen square, sharing food and vodka with local Russians travelling on the trains). It was also fascinating to see Europe transition gradually into Asia. Such a life-changing experience and really has given me the love for travelling!
Teach, Learn, Share
