About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Learning, always! Looking for accomplices. Expanding my brain.
ABOUT ME
A very open minded down-to-Earth and adventurous person. I've just returned from six months exploring India and Nepal. Incredible! Travelling is like ECT for the soul. An ongoing bombardment that shakes up your perceptions and challenges you to learn.
I'm a Burner. Which means I love to create, wear outrageous costumes, party... and clear up afterwards...
Equally, I love sitting over a drink of some kind and chewing over delicious ideas for hours with people.
PHILOSOPHY
Communication is the key to all sorts of things. Your own happiness, understanding, growing. Talk! Listen! Be around people, recognise the non-verbal.
Curiosity. Keep learning.
Compassion, in the Buddhist sense, not the patronizing sense of feeling sorry for others. Understanding, giving them the space to be themselves and deal with their own lives. Recognising that the only life you own is your own.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm hoping to meet some incredible people on my journey and share stories with them.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have to say I know a lot of couchsurfers but have yet to experience it myself...
Interests
I love wilderness, mountains, as much as I love urban environments. Exploring, climbing, running, cycling. Circus skills. I love to discuss politics, economics, history. I like a good party as much as I like solitude. I'm interested in learning and sharing new skills of all kinds.

Music, Movies, and Books
So, so much. I don't really understand that thing of reeling off a long list of things I like. There is bound to be something I like that you adore also. Do I have a favourite style of music or film? Depends on the day of the week!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I opened a school in India.
I heard a strange animal sound in the Himalayas.
I stumbled into a small Indian village just as the gods and godesses of the hills were coming to the temple to pay their respects to Gayatri. They danced wildly! (This is at exactly the same time both real and unreal).
I may have seen a ghost. I saw... something!
I've been arrested for a good cause.
I have been, and continue to be, a father.
Teach, Learn, Share
I picked up Tibetan massage while in North India. I'm a dab hand with tarot cards. Sports and exercise science. Hugs.
