Overview
About Me
I was raised with strong Christian values. I was also an active member of the Boy Scouts of America, which encourages many positive character traits, a few of which are being helpful, friendly, courteous, thrifty, and kind.
I love hearing about the passions and lives of others. I believe that there is a lot of beauty to experience in the world.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am Couchsurfing because it seems like a safe way to see the world as it really is, and make friends along the way. Hotels have a manufactured, cookie-cutter feeling. I'd rather meet more authentic people as I travel who can give personal insight into the places I am exploring.
Interests
I grew up loving to read. I like to get out and see nature. I love biking, hiking, and camping. People watching is also a pass-time of mine. I am always interested in learning about what makes people who they are.

Music, Movies, and Books
My favorite author is David Gemmell, a British author who wrote heroic fantasy. It's hard for me to narrow my favorite Music and Movies because I really like so very much, but I'll try.
Movies: Everybody's Fine, Dear Frankie, Life is Beautiful, Stardust, Hunchback of Notre Dame.
Music: Almost any musical soundtrack, Celtic Thunder, Karmin, Muse.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When I turned 19 years old I put my life on hold and served a 2-year mission for my church. My mission had many elements. I learned and taught the fundamentals of my christian-based religion. I served all those I had opportunity to. I learned from the many different people I encountered of different religions, beliefs, and philosophies about life.
